On Monday, CyberPowerPC unveiled its new esports masterclass series aimed at educating young gamers and their guardians about the esports landscape. The initiative is designed to shed light on the structure of the industry, potential career paths, and the challenges that come with pursuing a career in esports. The inaugural session of the series focused on dispelling myths, highlighting the necessity of parental support, exploring career opportunities within esports, and discussing the importance of balancing gaming aspirations with academic commitments. The follow-up session featured distinguished esports athletes who provided valuable insights to budding gamers.
CyberPowerPC Launches Esports Masterclass for Youth and Parents
In a press release, CyberPowerPC reported that it has hosted two masterclass sessions to date, both held at ApeCity in Navi Mumbai, with over 30 parents and children participating. The first session was led by Vishal Parekh, COO of CyberPowerPC, alongside Yash Bhanushali and Jai Shah, Co-Founders of ApeCity by Orangutan.
The second masterclass featured popular Indian esports players, Arman (Aaru) and Ankit Shukla (Akop), who engaged in open discussions with attendees about their personal experiences with competitive stress, challenges such as burnout, and dealing with the pressures of social media scrutiny.
According to CyberPowerPC, the purpose of these masterclasses is to foster communication between young gamers and their parents concerning the opportunities within esports. The sessions aim to create a supportive atmosphere for the development of young esports talent while addressing prevalent misconceptions about the industry.
CyberPowerPC plans to hold these sessions weekly every Sunday at ApeCity in Navi Mumbai, along with additional initiatives to enhance the acceptance of PC gaming and esports in India.
