A report from Axios states that ChatGPT receives upwards of 2.5 billion messages each day, with more than 330 million originating from the United States alone. The remainder of the interactions comes from users worldwide. This information represents the first public account of OpenAI’s daily prompt volume.
In addition to these figures, OpenAI indicated that ChatGPT boasts over 500 million weekly active users, with a significant portion opting for the free version of the service. The chatbot’s Android application ranks as the top “Top Free” app on the Google Play Store, while the iOS version occupies the second position on the App Store’s “Top Free Apps” list.
