OpenAI has announced the introduction of an image library feature for ChatGPT, designed to simplify the retrieval of AI-generated images. This update is now available for all Free, Plus, and Pro users on both mobile and web platforms.
In a concise video shared by OpenAI, users can see the functionality in action. The ChatGPT sidebar will now include a new “Library” section where users can access a grid of their created images. Additionally, the video features a button at the bottom of the screen that allows for the creation of new images.
Some users, myself included, have already accessed this library feature in the ChatGPT iOS application, and it operates as demonstrated in OpenAI’s video. While I have not seen it on the web version yet, it is anticipated that the rollout will occur soon.
This new feature is likely to be beneficial for those who frequently use ChatGPT for image creation, whether to revisit their Studio Ghibli-inspired artwork or their less exciting doll designs.
