Electronic Arts (EA) is reportedly set to organize a preview event for the upcoming addition to the Battlefield series, anticipated to take place at the end of July. Recent leaks have also indicated that the next installment in the popular military shooter franchise will be titled Battlefield 6. While the publisher provided insights into the game last year and presented pre-alpha gameplay footage earlier this year, an official title announcement has yet to be made. EA has confirmed that the game is expected to be released in the fiscal year 2026.

Upcoming ‘Battlefield 6’ Reveal Expected

Social media activity from Battlefield creators has highlighted a package displaying the ‘Battlefield 6′ logo. In a now-removed post on X, streamer @DooM49 shared an image of a case allegedly sent by EA, which features the Battlefield 6 logo and is secured with orange bands that list various Battlefield game modes such as Conquest and Breakthrough.

The information derived from the logo on this package suggests that EA has settled on ‘Battlefield 6’ as the definitive title for the game. Another Battlefield content creator, RivalxFactor, also remarked on a post that EA is expected to provide a preview of the game “probably by the end of the month.”

This aligns with EA’s previous announcement in May regarding the summer reveal of the next Battlefield. During the company’s fourth-quarter fiscal year 2025 earnings call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson indicated that the next installment would launch within fiscal year 2026, projecting net bookings for FY 2026 to exceed market expectations.

“Looking ahead, we’re confident in our ability to deliver across a robust pipeline — starting this summer with the eagerly awaited reveal of Battlefield,” Wilson remarked in May.

Further expanding on his assertions, RivalxFactor noted that EA is expected to host a three-day reveal event for Battlefield 6 later this month. “I have confirmed with another source that there will be a 3-day event at the end of July for EA, which will include the live reveal of Battlefield 6,” they stated. “It will resemble the BF1 event, with players getting a chance to play live after the developers speak and showcase videos.”

What to Expect from ‘Battlefield 6’

EA had previously confirmed that the forthcoming Battlefield would return to a modern setting and reinstate 64-player multiplayer maps along with traditional gameplay classes. The last major title in the series, Battlefield 2042, faced criticism for significant alterations to the established Battlefield gameplay formula, including the introduction of a ‘Specialist’ system and the exclusion of a single-player campaign.

While EA has yet to officially reveal the game, various leaks emerging from community playtests have offered insight into its features. Earlier this year, the company showcased pre-alpha gameplay footage and announced plans to incorporate feedback from playtests to enhance the overall player experience.

Additionally, EA unveiled Battlefield Studios, a collaboration of four internal studios — Dice, Criterion, Motive, and Ripple Effect — that are focused on developing the next-generation military shooter.
