Apple has implemented new requirements for developers operating within the European Union (EU) as part of its compliance with regulations affecting app stores. Developers must now provide their contact details, including a phone number and a public address, which will be displayed beneath each app listing on the App Store. Failure to comply with these new requirements will result in apps being removed from the App Store.
In a statement released on the Apple Developer website on Thursday, the company informed that EU Developer Account Holders or Admins in the Apple Developer Program are required to enter their trader status through App Store Connect. Submission of trader information is essential, and developers will not be able to submit any apps or updates until this process is finalized.

To adhere to the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA), Apple now mandates the disclosure of trader information. Articles 30 and 31 of the DSA specify that Apple must “verify and display trader contact information” for all accounts on its platform, which will be accessible to customers across the EU’s 27 member states. This obligation extends to developers in the EU who are not distributing apps to users within the region.
Developers registered as individuals in the Apple Developer Program must provide their email address, phone number, and a physical address or post office box. In contrast, those with organizational accounts are only required to submit a phone number and an address; their address associated with a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number will be automatically visible, Apple stated.
Developers are required to update their trader information on App Store Connect by February 17, 2025. Apps that do not meet the new standards by this deadline will be removed from the App Store within the EU.
