Apple has recently enhanced its Business Connect service, enabling users and enterprises to manage their information across various Apple applications. These updates aim to facilitate connections between businesses and customers, particularly for those that operate without a physical location. The latest features will enable businesses to showcase their information through Apple Wallet, Mail, and Maps. Additionally, callers will see verified business information when they receive calls, an initiative intended to reduce the prevalence of spam calls.
New Enhancements in Apple Business Connect: Wallet, Mail, and Caller ID Features
As outlined by Apple, the updated Business Connect service introduces capabilities to display business information within the Mail and Phone applications. Customers can expect to see the brand name and logo of verified businesses when receiving calls or emails.
To utilize the Branded Mail feature, businesses are required to register, and Apple has begun accepting applications through the Business Connect platform. Upon verification, the business logos will be displayed to customers, with implementation anticipated in the upcoming months.
Furthermore, the tech giant has announced the introduction of a feature termed Business Caller ID, which will enable businesses to present details about the calling employee, including their name and department, alongside the company’s logo.
This Business Caller ID feature is projected to launch next year, as stated by Apple. Existing third-party applications like Truecaller already assist businesses in providing information about verified companies to help customers identify legitimate entities.
Moreover, businesses across Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Taiwan, Ukraine, the UK, and the US will have the option to display their company logos when utilizing the Tap to Pay on iPhone feature. Apple’s update will replace the generic category icon on the payment interface, offering customers better recognition during transactions.
To access these new enhancements within the Business Connect platform, businesses must log in using their Apple ID. Apple has confirmed that there will be no charge for customizing brand information, and these features will be accessible to businesses, irrespective of their physical presence.
