Acer has officially announced the release of two new smartphones in India, set to launch on April 15. The devices will be named the Acer Super ZX and Acer Super ZX Pro. These new models are anticipated to feature robust processors, advanced camera systems, and AI-enhanced functionalities. They will be available for purchase exclusively through Amazon in India.
Acer Super ZX and Super ZX Pro Launch in India
The names of the Acer Super ZX and Acer Super ZX Pro smartphones were confirmed through a promotional banner found on the Amazon app prior to their upcoming unveiling. The launch event is scheduled for 12 PM IST, and the phones will be available for consumers to buy via Amazon.
The dedicated Amazon microsite for the Acer Super ZX series features the tagline “The next horizon,” although it stops short of providing specific details regarding the devices’ features. A teaser image hints at a prominently sized circular rear camera module. There are indications that these smartphones may share similarities with the previously listed Acerone Liquid S162E4 and Acerone Liquid S272E4 models.
The Acerone Liquid S162E4 is noted for its 6.5-inch HD+ display (720 x 1,600 pixels) protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 system-on-chip, featuring a 16-megapixel primary rear camera and an additional 0.08-megapixel secondary sensor.
In contrast, the Acerone Liquid S272E4 is equipped with a larger 6.7-inch display, boasting a 20-megapixel main rear sensor and a 0.3-megapixel secondary sensor. This model also utilizes a customized version of the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset.
Both the Acerone Liquid S162E4 and Acerone Liquid S272E4 are designed with 5-megapixel front cameras for selfies and video calls. Their specifications suggest they will operate on the Android 14 operating system, support 4GB of RAM, and include 64GB of internal storage. Additionally, both models are powered by a 5,000mAh battery, ensuring longevity through usage.
