LinkedIn is introducing an innovative generative AI tool designed to assist users in their job searches by allowing them to articulate their ideal positions. The enhanced AI-driven search bar now permits users to receive job listings based on natural language inputs, such as “find me entry-level brand manager roles in fashion” or “jobs for analysts who love sustainability challenges.”
This feature aims to offer users more adaptability in their job search, moving away from the traditional search filters relating to location, industry, and role currently available on LinkedIn. Instead of laboriously sifting through each job listing to determine if it aligns with their capabilities and interests, users can directly search for positions they are suited for.
“AI is transforming our work processes, and the job search experience on LinkedIn is set to dramatically change how individuals discover their next opportunities,” stated LinkedIn career expert Zara Easton in the company’s press release. “We envision that this new method of exploring roles — and even transitioning into new careers — will effectively connect job seekers’ skills, interests, and aspirations with their next professional step.”
The AI-enhanced search function is currently accessible in English for all LinkedIn Premium subscribers and will be available to all users who have their language preference set to Global English by the end of the week.
