The launch of the Oppo Reno 14 series has been officially hinted at by the company in China, although a specific release date for the anticipated devices has not yet been disclosed. The series is expected to include the standard Oppo Reno 14 and a Reno 14 Pro variant, set to replace the existing Oppo Reno 13 5G and Reno 13 Pro 5G models. Design elements and key features of these smartphones have previously emerged online, with the Oppo Reno 14 recently appearing on a well-known benchmarking site, providing insights into its chipset, RAM, and operating system.
Expected Specifications of Oppo Reno 14
A device identified with the model number PKZ110 has been posted on Geekbench, which is thought to be the standard version of the Oppo Reno 14. This smartphone operates on an octa-core chipset, featuring a prime core with a peak clock speed of 3.25GHz, three cores at 3GHz, and four cores at 2.10GHz. These specifications suggest that the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 System on Chip (SoC).
The Geekbench entry for the anticipated Oppo Reno 14 indicates that the smartphone will be equipped with a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU. It is expected to come with 12GB of RAM and will run on Android 15 out of the box. In benchmark tests, the device achieved scores of 1,612 points in single-core performance and 6,404 points in multi-core performance.
Previous reports indicated that the Oppo Reno 14 series would feature flat displays and are expected to be lightweight with metal frames. The series may include a periscope telephoto camera, although this feature may be exclusive to the Pro model.
The Oppo Reno 14 Pro is anticipated to showcase a flat OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and operate on Android 15, customized with ColorOS 15. This variant is projected to have a 50-megapixel triple rear camera system that includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom, along with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. Additionally, it may be equipped with a ‘Magic Cube’ button, which would allow for programmable functions similar to Apple’s Action Button. An earlier leak also revealed a design for the base variant reminiscent of the iPhone.
