Recent leaks regarding the OnePlus Nord CE 5 have surfaced online, revealing that the device has been listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. This listing suggests a potential launch in India is on the horizon. Previous reports have provided insights into the anticipated design and key specifications for the OnePlus Nord CE 5, which is expected to feature a new design that sets it apart from its predecessor, the OnePlus Nord CE 4, unveiled in India in April 2024.
OnePlus Nord CE 5 Appears on BIS
A new device identified by the model number CPH2717 has recently appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, according to a report by 91Mobiles. This model number is notably close to the CPH2719 designation associated with the alleged OnePlus Nord CE 5, which was previously listed in the UAE’s TDRA database. This suggests that the model on BIS is likely the Indian variant of the upcoming handset.
If the device listed on BIS is confirmed as the Indian version of the OnePlus Nord CE 5, it is expected to hit the market soon, with earlier leaks suggesting a launch timeframe in May.
The OnePlus Nord CE 5 is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is anticipated to be powered by a Dimensity 8350 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and offering 256GB of internal storage. Additionally, it may come equipped with a robust 7,100mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging.
On the camera front, the device is expected to house a 50-megapixel main rear camera utilizing either a Sony LYT-600 or IMX882 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, along with the capability for 4K video recording at up to 60fps. An 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 sensor with an ultrawide lens is also rumored to be included, in addition to a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
Design leaks for the OnePlus Nord CE 5 suggest a refreshed aesthetic. In contrast to its predecessor, the Nord CE 4, which features a vertically arranged camera module in the upper-left corner of the rear panel along with a small circular LED flash, the new model is expected to present a different visual approach.
