Sony has announced the lineup of PlayStation Plus monthly games for October. The free titles available next month for PS Plus subscribers will include the wrestling simulation WWE 2K24, the survival-horror shooter Dead Space, and the visual novel Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! These games will be accessible to all PS Plus tiers—Essential, Extra, and Deluxe/Premium—beginning October 1.

The company unveiled the October offerings during its State of Play broadcast on Tuesday. PlayStation Plus members will have the opportunity to add these games to their libraries until November 4, with continued access as long as their subscription is active.

Meanwhile, the September PS Plus titles will remain available until September 30. These include Quidditch Champions, MLB The Show 24, and Little Nightmares II. Below is a breakdown of the upcoming PS Plus monthly games:

WWE 2K24

While WWE 2K games typically present familiar gameplay to fans, the latest installment, developed by Visual Concepts and released in March, offers subtle enhancements over its predecessor. This entry features minor gameplay adjustments and introduces a new “Super Finisher” for more impactful finishing moves.

The Showcase mode in WWE 2K24 commemorates 40 years of WrestleMania, allowing players to relive iconic moments from the history of WWE. Users can engage in memorable matches featuring legends like The Undertaker and André the Giant or take on the role of contemporary superstars such as Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. The game will be available for both PS4 and PS5.

Dead Space

Another highlight for October is the 2023 remake of Dead Space, which echoes the classic survival-horror experience. Players will step into the shoes of engineer Isaac Clarke, navigating the haunted mining ship USG Ishimura, now infested with grotesque creatures known as Necromorphs. Clarke’s mission entails uncovering the ship’s dark secrets and attempting to rescue any survivors he encounters along the way.

This remake, developed by Motive, has been completely rebuilt from scratch, enhancing its graphics to meet modern standards. Dead Space will be available to PS5 users.

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!

Also coming to PS Plus in October is the enhanced version of Doki Doki Literature Club!, which follows a high school student joining a literature club. This visual novel presents a story filled with romantic subplots, where player decisions influence relationship dynamics and story progression.

The expanded Plus! version introduces additional side stories, a new soundtrack, and more content. This game will be available on both PS4 and PS5.

All three titles will be available at no extra cost for PS Plus subscribers. In addition, Sony previously announced the PS Plus Game Catalog updates for September, which include games like The Plucky Squire, Night in the Woods, and Chernobylite, among others.

Subscribers of the Extra and Deluxe/Premium tiers can anticipate even more content. At the State of Play event, Sony confirmed that The Last of Us Part I, the remake of the iconic original, will be added to the PS Plus Game Catalog on September 26.
