Samsung has reportedly extended its complimentary screen replacement policy for smartphones impacted by the notorious green line defect. According to reliable sources, owners of the Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy S21 in India can now obtain a one-time screen replacement at authorized service centers until September 2025. As with previous initiatives, the South Korean company emphasized that eligibility for the program is contingent on specific criteria, including the device’s purchase date and overall condition.
Samsung’s Green Line Screen Replacement Initiative
This update was first noted by tipster Tarun Vats, who shared that Samsung Support confirmed the new validity period for the screen replacement program. Initially, this service was available only for out-of-warranty Galaxy devices until December 31, 2024. The extension now covers the Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy S21 series until September 2025.
Attention ‼️
Spoke to Samsung Support — they’ve extended GREEN LINE FREE SCREEN REPLACEMENT policy till 30th Sept 2025.
S22 Ultra/S21 are eligible, BUT they won’t reveal the full list of supported devices. Come on Samsung, transparency isn’t that hard.

This offer includes the replacement of the OCTA (On-Cell Touch AMOLED) assembly, and technicians will also replace the battery and other related kits at no charge. However, a few conditions must be met.
According to Samsung’s policies, devices should remain free from physical or water damage to qualify for the free replacement. Only devices purchased within three years of the replacement request will be eligible for complimentary parts. Moreover, only the original purchaser may claim the replacement by presenting the original purchase invoice.
While there will be no charge for the screen replacement, customers will be responsible for any labor costs associated with the service. Interested users can schedule an appointment at their nearest Samsung authorized service center to utilize this offer and address the green line issue on their devices.
This isn’t the first instance of Samsung providing complimentary screen replacements for the green line issue. Back in April 2024, the company initiated a special replacement program in India for the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy S21 series, and Galaxy S22. Subsequently, in November of the same year, the program was expanded to include out-of-warranty models until December 31, 2024. According to sources, the program has received another extension, currently valid until later this year.
