Nintendo has introduced a new music application featuring an extensive collection of soundtracks from beloved video games, including classics such as Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda, along with music from the latest titles. The app will regularly update its library with additional tracks. Access to the Nintendo Music app does not require a Nintendo Switch, but users must have a Nintendo Switch Online membership and an active Nintendo account. Currently, the app is available for both Android and iOS users in select global regions.
Nintendo Music Availability
Accessible through Google Play and the App Store, the Nintendo Music app requires users to hold a Nintendo Switch Online membership and a Nintendo account. The app is presently available in several countries, including the US, the UK, Japan, and Australia, among others. However, it has yet to be launched in India.
Nintendo Music Features
This music streaming service allows users to enjoy a variety of soundtracks from popular games such as Splatoon 3, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Kirby Star Allies, Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Pikmin 4, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, to name a few. Users can browse through preset playlists organized by games, genres, characters, or moods, and the app also offers the option to create custom playlists, akin to functionalities found in Spotify and YouTube Music.
A notable feature within the Nintendo Music app is the Spoiler Prevention option. Users who wish to avoid spoilers for a game they have not played can enable this feature, selecting specific games to hide their soundtracks until they choose to include them again.
Additionally, the app boasts an Extend feature that allows listeners to loop a specific track for an extended period, with options to repeat it for 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
