The Oppo A5 Pro 5G is set to launch in India on April 24. Ahead of its debut, details regarding its anticipated pricing have emerged online. The company has also revealed some key features of the smartphone today. The Indian variant is expected to closely resemble the global version of the Oppo A5 Pro 5G, which was introduced in select markets earlier this year. However, it will feature a different design and specifications compared to the Chinese model launched in December 2024.
Expected Pricing for Oppo A5 Pro 5G in India
The expected starting price for the Oppo A5 Pro 5G in India is Rs. 17,999 for the 8GB + 128GB configuration, while the 8GB + 256GB model is expected to be priced at Rs. 19,999, according to a report from 91Mobiles Hindi citing industry insiders.
According to recent confirmations from Oppo, the Indian version of the A5 Pro 5G will feature an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance in addition to a robust, damage-proof 360-degree armor body. The device will also include a substantial 5,800mAh battery with support for 45W charging.
The global variant of the Oppo A5 Pro 5G is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, offering up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It operates on ColorOS 15.0, based on Android 15.
In terms of camera capabilities, the global version boasts a 50-megapixel main rear sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) alongside a secondary 2-megapixel sensor. For selfies and video calls, it features an 8-megapixel front camera. Additionally, the device sports a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720×1,604 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 1,000 nits, and protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
It is noteworthy that the Chinese version of the Oppo A5 Pro 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC and includes a 16-megapixel front camera, a 6.7-inch 120Hz full-HD+ AMOLED display, and a larger 6,000mAh battery with up to 80W fast charging capabilities.
