The Honor GT Pro is set to debut in China next week, with the announcement made via the company’s Weibo account. This highly anticipated smartphone from the Chinese brand will be revealed alongside the new Honor Tablet GT. Official images released by the company showcase the device’s design and available colour options, which are teased to include three distinct choices.
Launch Announcement for Honor GT Pro
The Honor GT Pro will be unveiled on April 23 at 2:30 PM local time (12 PM IST). The launch event will occur in parallel with the introduction of the Honor Tablet GT.
Pre-reservations for the GT Pro have already opened through Honor’s official store in China. The pre-order listing indicates three colour variations: Burning Speed Gold, Ice Crystal, and Phantom Black (translated from Chinese). The official renders depict the smartphone featuring a square camera module on the back, accommodating four camera sensors, an LED flash, and GT branding. Additionally, the phone is designed with a flat display and a centrally positioned hole punch cutout for the front camera.
The Honor GT Pro is expected to target a higher segment of the market compared to the standard Honor GT. Specifications confirmed so far include a display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.1 storage technology. The device is also said to feature an Oasis polarized eye protection gaming screen with rhino glass for added durability and will be encased in a metal middle frame, complemented by dual speakers.
Rumors suggest that the Honor GT Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. It is anticipated to boast a 6.78-inch display with a 1.5K resolution and a 50-megapixel primary camera. Additionally, the phone may include a battery larger than 6,000mAh with the capability for 100W wired charging.
