Nvidia has announced the release of a new GPU driver today, bringing a substantial range of fixes addressing ongoing bugs and crashes that have affected its Game Ready drivers. The latest driver, version 576.02, follows numerous reports of issues such as black screens, game crashes, and general instability, improving significantly from last month’s version 572.83. Users can download the driver directly via the provided link.
According to the release notes for the 576.02 driver, improvements include enhanced stability for Windows 11 version 24H2, resolution of a BSOD when playing DLSS 4 games with Multi Frame Generation, and fixes for random black screen occurrences with RTX 50-series GPUs. Additionally, Nvidia has tackled stability issues related to games utilizing DLSS Frame Generation paired with GSYNC.
The update also addresses various crashes in popular titles such as Fortnite, resolves a hang in Star Wars Outlaws when idle, and fixes crashes in Monster Hunter Wilds while also alleviating stuttering during VSYNC gameplay in Overwatch 2. Moreover, the latest driver brings a series of improvements for games including Hellblade 2, Control, The Last of Us Part 1, and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.
This driver release is particularly noteworthy given its extensive list of bug fixes, which vastly exceeds the typical updates that usually cover only minor fixes. The extensive list this time spans nearly two pages.
This update is expected to address a significant number of concerns that have arisen since the launch of the RTX 5090 in January, especially since stability issues with the RTX 50-series drivers have also affected previous GPU generations following the introduction of DLSS 4.
Additionally, the 576.02 driver release extends support to the newly launched GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GPU, which is priced starting at $379.
