X, previously known as Twitter, announced on Thursday the elimination of advertisements from its highest-tier subscription plan. Following the acquisition of the platform by Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk in late 2022, X has introduced several new subscription tiers, moving away from the single Twitter Blue plan in favor of more varied options. The top-tier offering, labeled X Premium+, includes features such as a reply boost and the capability to create articles, in addition to all the perks available in the Premium plan.
X Premium+ Eliminates Ads
In a recent post on its own platform, X announced that the Premium+ subscription will now be completely ad-free. This plan was initially launched in 2023, during which ads were restricted to the ‘For You’ and ‘Following’ pages. The Premium+ plan is part of a suite that includes Basic and Premium plans, bringing the total number of subscription options to three.
Beyond ad-free browsing, the X Premium+ plan offers various additional benefits, including all features found in the lower Premium subscription. Notable features include the ability to edit posts, upload longer videos, and utilize encrypted direct messages (DMs).
Subscribers can also monetize their content, earning revenue from the organic impressions of ads presented in replies from verified accounts. The plan provides the blue verification checkmark and enables users to offer monthly subscriptions to their most loyal followers. Access to creator tools such as X Pro, Analytics, and Media Studio is also included.
X Premium+ members can utilize Grok, the platform’s conversational AI chatbot, and can post text-rich articles exclusively through the web interface.
Pricing for X Premium Plans in India

The Premium plan is available for Rs. 650 per month, while the Premium+ plan, which offers the most extensive benefits, is priced at Rs. 1,300 per month. Users also have the option of selecting annual plans, which offer a slight cost reduction.
