Lenovo is reportedly developing the Legion Go S, a new handheld gaming console, with the company having accidentally revealed the name of the device last month. Recently, a publication shared leaked renders that showcase the device’s design, hinting at a more straightforward aesthetic reminiscent of the Asus ROG Ally. The Legion Go S is anticipated to be powered by an AMD Rembrandt processor and positioned as a budget-friendly alternative to last year’s Legion Go model.

The display of the Lenovo Legion Go S may be smaller compared to that of the previous model, judging by the leaked images. The console features ABXY buttons, two joysticks, and a D-pad, but it lacks the touchpad found on the Legion Go. Instead, it seems to incorporate a smaller input device resembling Lenovo’s TrackPoint cursor.
The top view indicates the potential inclusion of two USB Type-C ports, mirroring the features of Lenovo’s higher-end model. Additionally, the leaked images reveal menu and view keys at the top of the console.
From the rear view, the handheld device shows ventilation openings on either side. The design also suggests that the Legion Go S will not include a stand, unlike the current model, and features RGB lighting beneath both joysticks along with what appears to be two small speakers.
Pricing Insights for the Lenovo Legion Go S
These design modifications hint that the Lenovo Legion Go S may launch at a significantly lower price compared to the company’s initial handheld gaming console. A recent report suggests that the upcoming device could be enhanced with an AMD Rembrandt processor, contributing to cost containment.
Expected pricing for the Lenovo Legion Go S is projected to be between $399 (approximately ₹35,500) and $449 (around ₹39,900). This represents a notable reduction from the Legion Go’s original price of €799 (about ₹71,100) that was introduced last year. The Legion Go was launched in India in June with a price tag of ₹89,990.
