Oppo unveiled its strategic vision for agentic AI during the Google Cloud Next 2025 event held on Saturday. Oppo Aims to Create Tailored and Smart User Experiences
In an official newsroom post, Oppo elaborated on its forthcoming AI strategy focused on AI agents. This concept of agentic AI involves a centralized AI model that autonomously manages hardware and software components to perform user-requested tasks. The company also announced its intention to collaborate with Google in developing and rolling out new features and capabilities.
“We are continuously enhancing AI experiences through strategic collaborations with partners like Google Cloud, aiming to deliver Agentic AI capabilities to Oppo users,” stated Jason Liao, President of the OPPO Research Institute.
At the Google Cloud Next 2025 event, Oppo introduced a new tool named AI Search, a system-level AI feature for its devices. This tool will enable users to search for multimodal document information using natural language queries, allowing them to easily retrieve information stored on their devices straight from the home screen. The company also showcased its current AI features applied across various domains, including productivity, imaging, and creativity.
The next stage of Oppo’s AI features will harness the potential of agentic AI to foster personalised and smart user experiences. To support this, the company is developing a user knowledge system that will function as a centralized repository for user data, addressing the issue of information fragmentation commonly found on mobile devices.
The tools associated with agentic AI are designed to learn from individual user behavior, interests, data, and memories, enabling the delivery of “highly personalised AI experiences,” the company asserted.
