Motorola has officially announced that the Edge 60 Fusion will be launched in India next month. The Lenovo-owned company has also shared details about the design and key features of the upcoming smartphone. A dedicated microsite on Flipkart confirms that consumers in India will be able to purchase the device through the e-commerce platform. Reports have previously hinted at the expected pricing of the Edge 60 Fusion in select international markets. This model is set to replace the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, which was introduced in India in May 2024.
Details on the Upcoming Motorola Edge 60 Fusion Launch in India
According to the Flipkart microsite, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is scheduled to launch on April 2 at 12 PM IST. The promotional material reveals that the device will be available in light blue, salmon (light pink), and lavender (light purple). It will come with Android 15-based Hello UI, offering three years of Android OS updates and four years of security patches.
The design of the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion mirrors its previously leaked images, featuring a squarish camera module located at the top right corner of the rear panel. This module houses three sensors along with an LED flash. The smartphone boasts a curved display with slim, even bezels and a centered hole-punch cutout at the top for the front camera. The power and volume buttons are situated on the right edge of the device.
The official microsite reveals that the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC. Customers will have an option of 8GB or 12GB of RAM alongside 256GB of internal storage, with the possibility to expand this by up to 1TB via microSD card. Additionally, the device will feature the Moto AI suite, including AI tools such as Magic Eraser, Magic Editor, and Google’s Circle to Search.
Equipped with a 6.7-inch 1.5K Pantone-validated all-curved display, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion boasts a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, a 96.3 percent screen-to-body ratio, and features like water touch and HDR10+ support. The display is also protected by SGS Eye Care and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate that the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion includes a triple camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony LYT700C primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a macro lens. The front-facing camera is equipped with a 32-megapixel sensor, allowing for 4K video recording capabilities.
Powering the device is a robust 5,500mAh battery that supports 68W wired fast charging. The device is touted to meet both IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance standards and is backed by MIL-810H military-grade durability certification.
