The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 is still several months away, yet several leaks regarding their design have surfaced online. A recent leak highlights the case designs for the flip-style foldable phone, showcasing transparent protective cases that resemble those of the current Galaxy Z Flip 6. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is anticipated to have a slightly larger size, featuring a 6.85-inch internal display. Additionally, a new leak has revealed a screen protector for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, indicating that it may be taller than the previous model.
Tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) recently shared purported renders of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 cases on X (formerly Twitter). These transparent cases provide a glimpse into the clamshell foldable phone’s design, including cut-outs for the power button, volume rockers on the sides, and respective openings for the speaker and charging port on the bottom.
According to the leaked images, the design of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 appears to closely resemble that of its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Notably, the bezels seem smaller on the upcoming model, likely due to the increased screen dimensions. The new device is projected to feature a larger 6.8-inch display, compared to the 6.7-inch screen found on the earlier model.
In addition to the Flip, the tipster has also revealed images of protective glass intended for the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s cover display, which seems to be taller than that of the previous version. The anticipated cover display size is 6.5 inches, an increase from the 6.3-inch cover screen of the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Both the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 are expected to debut in July. The Flip model might be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset, while the Fold model could utilize a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy SoC. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 may feature a 4,400mAh battery, while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is set to include a 4,300mAh battery. Charging speeds for both devices are expected to support 25W wired charging.
