Last week, the Google Pixel 9a made its debut in India, marking the newest addition to the A series lineup. While the launch event did not provide specific information regarding its availability, the company announced that the device would be on the market starting in April. Google has since confirmed the sale date for the Pixel 9a in India and additional regions.

The Pixel 9a will be available for purchase in India starting April 16, according to an official announcement from Google. Customers can acquire the device through Flipkart and other retail partners, available in three color variants: Obsidian, Porcelain, and Iris.
The pricing for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage option is set at Rs. 49,999 in India. In the United States and other markets, consumers can choose from four color options and a second variant with 128GB of storage.

The Pixel 9a boasts a 6.3-inch Actua pOLED display, capable of a 120Hz refresh rate, reaching peak brightness of 2,700 nits, and featuring Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. This dual SIM smartphone operates on Android 15 and is backed by a commitment to provide seven years of software and security updates. At its core is the Tensor G4 processor, combined with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. In addition, Google integrates a Titan M2 co-processor to enhance security.
Regarding its camera system, the Pixel 9a includes a dual rear camera arrangement featuring a 48-megapixel primary sensor alongside a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens. The front-facing camera is 13 megapixels, suitable for selfies and video calls. The device also offers a range of AI-driven camera functions like Add Me, Reimagine, Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Best Take.
Powering the device is a 5,100mAh battery that supports 23W fast charging and provides 7.5W for wireless charging. Biometric security is facilitated through an in-display fingerprint scanner, as well as a Face unlock feature. On the connectivity front, the Pixel 9a supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, and includes a USB Type-C 3.2 port. The smartphone also features stereo speakers and dual microphones, with dimensions of 154.7×73.3×8.9mm and a weight of 185.9g.
