Sony introduced the Midnight Black color variant of its DualSense Edge wireless controller in India on Thursday. This new addition is part of the Midnight Black Collection of PS5 accessories, which also features the PlayStation Portal remote player, the Pulse Elite wireless headset, and the Pulse Explore wireless earbuds. However, in India, only the DualSense Edge controller and the PlayStation Portal are available in this striking black color.
Midnight Black DualSense Edge Price in India, Availability
The Midnight Black version of the DualSense Edge wireless controller is priced at Rs. 18,990, which is identical to the cost of the original white model. Consumers can now purchase the controller from the Shop at SC website along with other participating retailers. The controller also comes with a Midnight Black carrying case.
Midnight Black DualSense Edge Details
The new color variant was announced in January as part of Sony’s Midnight Black Collection of PS5 accessories. This collection encompasses the DualSense Edge wireless controller, the PlayStation Portal remote player, the Pulse Elite wireless headset, and the Pulse Explore wireless earbuds.
In addition to the new offerings, existing PS5 accessories such as the standard DualSense controller and PS5 console covers already feature the Midnight Black color. Pre-orders for the entire Midnight Black Collection of PS5 accessories commenced on February 16.
Currently, in India, the only products listed in the Midnight Black colorway on the Shop at SC website are the DualSense Edge controller and the PlayStation Portal remote player. The Pulse Elite wireless headset and the Pulse Explore wireless earbuds may be available in the market at a later date.
In related news earlier this week, Sony announced a price reduction for PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe tier subscriptions in India. The Extra subscription now sees a 25 percent decrease in price, while the Deluxe tier benefits from a 35 percent discount. These new prices are applicable only to 12-month subscription plans for both PS Plus Extra and Deluxe memberships.
