At just 5.6mm thick, many would assume the iPhone Air is frail and likely to break under pressure. However, the device’s titanium structure proves to be not only sturdier than aluminum but also more flexible. YouTuber JerryRigEverything showcased this in his latest rigorous bend test. Although he was able to apply enough force to create some minor bending when pushing his thumbs against the center of the screen, the device did not shatter, returning promptly to its original form.

JerryRigEverything, not satisfied with simply proving the resilience of Apple’s latest design, ventured into his garage for a more thorough examination. Using a crane scale and metal bars, he determined that it takes a staggering 216 pounds of pressure to inflict any damage on the iPhone Air.
