Wacom has unveiled its latest addition to the entry-level creative display tablet lineup: the Wacom One 14. The new model, measuring 14 inches, offers a slightly larger canvas compared to the Wacom One 12 and One 13, both of which were introduced earlier this year. This tablet aims to provide aspiring artists and hobbyists with ample space for sketching, photo editing, and 3D modeling, all within a lightweight and portable design that fits easily into a backpack.
Now available for purchase at a price of $299.95, the Wacom One 14 offers considerable savings compared to the initial $400 price point of the smaller Wacom One 12, which is currently listed at $210. The Wacom One 14 comes bundled with the battery-free Wacom One Standard Pen and a USB-C cable, a notable improvement over the smaller model. Its design has been made thinner with reduced bezels, while maintaining a similar aesthetic to the existing models. This tablet requires a connection to a laptop or computer and is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Chromebook operating systems.
The tablet features an IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. While it does not support Wacom’s 10-finger multitouch gestures, this tablet is designed with those first entering the world of digital art in mind. Its lower price point makes it an appealing option for individuals who don’t require the advanced features and higher resolutions found in Wacom’s premium Cintiq line. This strategic pricing could also enhance Wacom’s competitive edge against budget-friendly alternatives from brands like Huion, XP-Pen, and Gaomon.
