Honor has introduced the Magic V Flip 2, a new flip phone featuring a dazzling special edition developed in collaboration with renowned fashion designer Jimmy Choo.
Previously linked with Choo during the launch of last year’s V Flip, the brand continues this partnership, exchanging the previous year’s glittery green for a striking blue this time. The new edition boasts customized wallpapers that draw attention, a prominently engraved hinge with Choo’s full name, and a pair of glimmering protective cases to keep the device safe and stylish.
The phone’s specifications are noteworthy. In addition to the Choo version, it is also available in standard colors: purple, white, and gray. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor—slightly below the top tier—but includes a full-sized OLED display on the cover. The device is powered by a robust 5,500mAh battery, enabled by advanced silicon-carbon technology, and supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. However, its water and dust resistance is rated at IP58/59, which is not as high as the competitors offering IP68 ratings.
Currently, the V Flip 2 is available for preorder exclusively in China. For customers outside of China seeking a stylish flip phone, the Motorola Razr adorned with Swarovski crystals is expected to launch soon. Additionally, Honor has slated a launch event for its larger Magic V5 in London on August 28th, which currently holds the title of the world’s thinnest book-style foldable phone.
