It is also expected that the device will be introduced as the Samsung Galaxy F17 5G. Recently, Samsung launched the Galaxy A17 5G in several global markets, featuring a 5nm Exynos 1330 chipset paired with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, an IP54-rated chassis, and running on Android 15 with One UI 7.
Expected Specifications of Samsung Galaxy M17 5G
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy M17 5G, carrying the model number SM-M176B, was identified on the Google Play Console according to Tech Outlook. It is anticipated that this smartphone will debut as the Samsung Galaxy F17 5G, listed under the model number SM-E176B. Both devices share the internal code “a17x” as noted by the publication.
The findings indicate that the model SM-A176B corresponds to the “Samsung Galaxy M17 5G,” further supporting the idea that the Galaxy M17 5G and Galaxy F17 5G are rebranded variants of the Galaxy A17 5G. Historically, the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G, Galaxy F15 5G, and Galaxy A15 5G also existed as modified iterations of one another.
Designed as a successor to the Galaxy M16 5G, the Samsung Galaxy M17 5G is likely to feature an Exynos 1330 chipset, supplemented by 4GB of RAM. The device is expected to operate on Android 15 with One UI 7. It will likely showcase an Infinity-U display with a resolution of 1,080×2,340 pixels and a pixel density of 450dpi. The rear camera setup is anticipated to include a vertical, pill-shaped module.
