Dell has officially introduced its latest gaming desktop, the Alienware Aurora R16, on Thursday. Consumers can choose from two configurations powered by either 13th Gen or 14th Gen Intel Core processors. This new model supports NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, making it a powerful option for gamers. Notably, it is reported to be 40 percent smaller than its predecessor, the Aurora R15, while also delivering a quieter operation and improved heat management.

The starting price for the Alienware Aurora R16 in India is set at Rs. 1,59,990. Customers can purchase the desktop through the official Dell website, from Dell Exclusive Stores (DES), Amazon, and various selected retail outlets across the nation.
Specifications and Features of Alienware Aurora R16
The Alienware Aurora R16 is designed to accommodate up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, available with either 13th Gen or 14th Gen Intel Core CPUs. This model features a larger air intake system which is said to reduce CPU temperatures by up to 10 percent and GPU temperatures by 6 percent, while maintaining a quieter performance level by about 20 percent.
In terms of size, the Aurora R16 is 40 percent smaller than the R15, yet it retains the same internal chamber volume, enabling compatibility with various hardware configurations. The chassis reflects the Alienware Legend 3.0 design and includes an upgraded Alienware Command Centre, making its debut with this model.
The Alienware Command Centre enhances the gaming experience by allowing users to easily access macros, audio presets, game-specific profiles, and customizable themes and lighting. Gamers can choose from a palette of 16.7 million colors across three distinct lighting zones, and save their settings across the entire Alienware product ecosystem.
Additionally, the desktop supports advanced connectivity options including Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E, along with 2.5Gbps Ethernet capabilities. The Alienware Aurora R16 can be outfitted with up to 32GB of 5600 MT/s DDR5 RAM and has the option for a 1TB SSD. Users can also select from 80 Plus Platinum-rated power supplies, available in 500W and 1000W capacities.
In an effort to promote sustainability, Dell claims that the Alienware Aurora R16 is constructed with 56 percent post-consumer recycled plastics, the highest percentage used in any of its desktops to date. The chassis includes 11 percent recycled steel, and the product is packaged using recyclable and renewable materials.
