Realme has officially announced that the Realme GT 7 will be launched in China later this month. While the company has not yet disclosed the specific date, it has confirmed that the device will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC as its processor. Recent leaks have provided insights into the phone’s battery and charging capabilities, indicating that it may be slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, the Realme GT 6, which was released in July 2024 and utilized a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
Realme GT 7 Set for April Debut
The launch of the Realme GT 7 has been confirmed for April in China, according to a post by the company on Weibo. The exact date remains unannounced. The report also highlights that the upcoming smartphone will be powered by a 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC. A dedicated microsite for the device is already available online.
Xu Qi Chase, Vice President of Realme, stated in another Weibo update that the Realme GT 7 will incorporate the GT Performance Engine 2.0, enhancing the capabilities of the 3nm chipset. This will also enable the phone to support various AI-enabled features. Additionally, he mentioned that the device will provide “unprecedented cooling solutions, industry-leading endurance combinations,” along with high frame rate stabilization.
Previous leaks suggest that the Realme GT 7 could come with a battery capacity of 7,000mAh or more, and it is anticipated to support 100W wired fast charging. The device is also expected to feature a flat display and be lighter and more compact compared to the Realme GT 6, which has a weight of 206g and measures 8.43mm thick.
The Realme GT 6 was launched at a price of CNY 2,799 (approximately Rs. 32,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and features a 6.78-inch 2K micro-curved display alongside a 5,800mAh battery that supports 120W charging.
In November 2024, the Realme GT 7 Pro was launched in China, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This model includes a 6,500mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging capabilities, a rear camera array with a 50-megapixel triple camera setup, including a periscope telephoto lens, and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The pricing for the 12GB + 256GB version was set at CNY 3,699 (around Rs. 43,800).
