The Vivo V60 5G is set to make its debut in India later this month, as confirmed by the company. Accompanying the announcement, Vivo has disclosed various design elements and color options for the device. The smartphone will showcase several key specifications, including details about its chipset, camera capabilities, and battery performance. Notably, the Vivo V60 5G will incorporate multiple AI functionalities, along with features from Google’s Gemini AI. This model is anticipated to succeed the Vivo V50, which launched in India back in February.
Vivo V60 5G India Launch: Key Details
The launch of the Vivo V60 5G is scheduled for August 12 at 12 PM IST, emphasizing the company’s commitment to the Indian market. Available color options will include Auspicious Gold, Mist Grey, and Moonlit Blue. A standout feature of the smartphone is its quad-curved display, aimed at enhancing the overall user experience.
The Vivo V60 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and is expected to feature a substantial 6,500mAh battery. On the camera front, it will include a Zeiss-branded 50-megapixel telephoto lens with support for 10x zoom, in addition to various multifocal Portrait Modes. Early design previews indicate that the smartphone will also feature a triple rear camera setup.
In terms of software, the V60 5G will run on Android 15-based FuntouchOS 15 and will be equipped with Google Gemini features such as Gemini Live. On top of that, it will offer AI tools like AI Captions and an AI Smart Call Assistant. Vivo has stated that the smartphone will conform to IP68 and IP69 standards for dust and water resistance, ensuring durability.
Recent leaks suggest that the Vivo V60 may showcase a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. The triple rear camera system is rumored to consist of a 50-megapixel main sensor paired with an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, while the front might also feature a 50-megapixel camera.
The smartphone is anticipated to support 90W wired fast charging and will likely include an in-display fingerprint sensor for security purposes. Furthermore, the device is expected to come with dual stereo speakers to enhance audio quality.
