OxygenOS 15 Update For OnePlus 11 5G: New Features
Per the changelog published on the OnePlus Community website, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has commenced the rollout of the OxygenOS 15.0.0.840(EX01) update for the OnePlus 11 5G in India. This latest version introduces a feature called ‘Save to Mind Space,’ allowing users to capture screen content and archive it as memories.
A standout addition in this update enables OnePlus 11 5G users to utilize one application in full screen while running another in a floating window, facilitating multi-tasking. This enhanced functionality makes excellent use of the phone’s 6.7-inch Quad-HD+ LTPO 3.0 AMOLED display, which supports a resolution of 1,440×3,216 pixels, a pixel density of 525ppi, a dynamic refresh rate from 0 to 120Hz, and a touch sampling rate of up to 1,000Hz.
The OxygenOS 15 update also enhances the camera experience by incorporating new features. Among these is the addition of a soft light filter for the Portrait and Photo modes in the native Camera app, designed to help users produce “dreamy” effects in their photographs. Furthermore, the AI Perfect Shot feature now enables users to alter facial expressions of subjects in images.
Video and live photo editing options have also been revamped. Users can now export videos as live photos, and save both videos and live photos as high-resolution images. There’s an improved customization feature for the Photos app, allowing users to conceal specific content from various albums. Notably, the OnePlus 11 5G is supported by a Hasselblad-calibrated triple rear camera system.
Importantly, this update incorporates the July 2025 Android security patch, further enhancing system security and resolving the previously mentioned display bug associated with mini windows.
The update also features a “Gradual Alarm Volume” option, allowing alarms to increase in volume progressively. Meanwhile, the Recorder app has been enhanced with customizable grouping capabilities for organizing audio files. An in-person recordings category automatically compiles audio captured during Standard, Meeting, and Interview modes. Users will also have access to OnePlus Sans and One Sans fonts in more languages.
Several system changes accompany the OxygenOS 15 update. Users can now drag and stack widgets of identical sizes together on the home screen. A new “Temporarily Block” function allows users to swipe up on notification banners to momentarily block them. Additionally, a quick restart shortcut has been introduced in the Quick Settings menu, and users can now reposition mini windows by dragging them to the bottom of the screen.
