This weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, HBO Max unveiled the much-anticipated full trailer for the second season of Peacemaker. The series, created by James Gunn, has received an Emmy nomination and is a continuation of his 2021 film, The Suicide Squad.

The first season consisted of eight episodes and took place five months following the events of The Suicide Squad. After enduring a life-threatening shooting, the main character, Peacemaker—also known as Christopher Smith—is enlisted by the U.S. government for a new operation named Project Butterfly. This mission is overseen by mercenary Clemson Murn, portrayed by Chukwudi Iwuji. Peacemaker’s team includes A.R.G.U.S. agent John Economos (Steve Agee), NSA agent and former aide to Amanda Waller, Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland), and newcomer Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks).
