Honor is anticipated to introduce its Magic 8 series later in the year. The devices in this upcoming line are expected to feature the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC. The series may consist of four models, including a Mini and a Max, with display sizes of 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively. In comparison, the current Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro models utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and have display sizes of 6.78 inches and 6.8 inches.

Details on the Honor Magic 8 Series

The anticipated Honor Magic 8 series is expected to offer display sizes of 6.3 inches, 6.58 inches, and 6.7 inches, according to insights from Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo. The 6.58-inch version may be the standard Honor Magic 8, which is reportedly under testing with a mid-range periscope camera, potentially featuring either a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B or a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor.

The Honor Magic 8 Pro is expected to boast a 6.7-inch display and may include a 200-megapixel periscope camera. Meanwhile, the model featuring a 6.3-inch screen may be identified as the Honor Magic 8 Mini, though its launch might not coincide with that of the base and Pro models and could be delayed.

Earlier reports from the same source hinted that the Honor Magic 8 series is likely to include a Max variant, which is projected to feature a 6.9-inch display.

Previous leaks have suggested that the Honor Magic 8 Pro may come equipped with the forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC. In terms of camera capabilities, the device might incorporate a triple rear camera setup, which could consist of a 50-megapixel OV50Q sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor. This configuration is similar to that of the Magic 7 Pro, which also features a 50-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Honor Magic 7 and Honor Magic 7 Pro, which utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, were launched in China, displaying 6.78-inch and 6.8-inch screens, respectively.
