The Tecno Spark 40 series has officially debuted in select markets worldwide. This new product lineup comprises the Spark 40, Spark 40 Pro, and the flagship Spark 40 Pro+. Notably, the Pro+ edition is being heralded as the world’s first smartphone to feature the MediaTek Helio G200 chipset. The base and Pro models are equipped with the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate and MediaTek Helio G81 processors, respectively. All three devices come with an IP64 rating and boast 50-megapixel primary rear cameras.
Tecno Spark 40 Pro+, Spark 40 Pro, Spark 40 Pricing and Color Options
The starting price for the Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ in Uganda is UGX 769,000 (approximately Rs. 18,300) for the 8GB + 128GB variant. Meanwhile, the Tecno Spark 40 Pro is priced at UGX 679,000 (around Rs. 16,200) for the same RAM and storage configuration. The base model, the Tecno Spark 40, is priced at UGX 479,000 (roughly Rs. 11,400) for the 4GB + 128GB version. These models are now available for purchase through both online and offline Tecno stores in the country.
The standard Tecno Spark 40 is offered in a variety of colors including Ink Black, Mirage Blue, Veil White, and Titanium Grey. In contrast, the Tecno Spark 40 Pro comes in Ink Black, Bamboo Green, Lake Blue, and Moon Titanium. The Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ is available in Aurora White, Moon Titanium, Nebula Black, and Tundra Green colourways.

The Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ features a 6.78-inch 1.5K (1,224×2,720 pixels) 3D AMOLED display that offers a refresh rate of 144Hz. It operates on the MediaTek Helio G200 processor, accompanied by 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The device runs on the Android 15-based HiOS skin.
On the camera front, the Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ has a 50-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM radio, OTG, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. An in-display fingerprint sensor enhances security. The smartphone also incorporates Dolby Atmos dual speakers and an IR blaster.
Powered by a 5,200mAh battery, the Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ supports 45W wired charging, 30W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging. The device is also designed to be dust and splash-resistant with an IP64 rating. Its dimensions are 163.9×75.8×6.49mm.
Tecno Spark 40 Pro Specifications and Features
The Tecno Spark 40 Pro is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chipset. Unlike its Pro+ counterpart, it does not support wireless or reverse wireless charging and lacks an in-display fingerprint sensor. Other specifications such as display, operating system, camera setup, battery performance, charging capabilities, and build quality are consistent with those of the Pro+ variant. The device measures 6.69mm in thickness.
Both Pro models in the Tecno Spark 40 series feature Tecno’s FreeLink technology, enabling users to make calls without requiring cellular connectivity.
