Vivo has announced the upcoming launch of the X Fold 5 in India, although the specific release date remains undisclosed. The company has shared vital details regarding the features and color availability for the Indian variant of this foldable smartphone. The Vivo X Fold 5 will be available in a single color option and is set to include a robust 6,000mAh battery that supports both 80W wired and 40W wireless fast charging. Moreover, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The device was unveiled in China just last week.
In a post on their newsroom, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer announced that the Vivo X Fold 5 will be released in India, featuring a Titanium Gray color option. For comparison, the Chinese model was offered in three colors: Baibai (green), Quingsong (white), and Titanium (black).

Similar to its Chinese counterpart, the Indian version of the Vivo X Fold 5 will consist of a 6,000mAh battery that provides 80W wired and 40W wireless charging capabilities. The battery is claimed to offer up to 80.6 hours of music playback on a single charge.
When folded, the Vivo X Fold 5 will measure 9.2mm in thickness and 4.3mm when opened, weighing in at 217g. It will feature a high-quality camera system co-developed with Zeiss, which includes a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and capabilities for up to 100x hyperzoom.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the Vivo X Fold 5 will offer a Workbench feature that allows users to operate up to five tasks simultaneously. Additionally, a Shortcut Button will provide quick access to essential functions, and the device is designed with a Kinematic hinge, which Vivo claims can endure up to 600,000 folds.
The display of the Vivo X Fold 5 is expected to achieve an impressive brightness level of 4,500 nits. Users can also look forward to various AI-driven features such as AI Image Expander, AI Magic Move, AI Erase, and AI Reflection Erase.
In India, the Vivo X Fold 5 will be available for purchase through Flipkart. The smartphone will feature an IP5X-rated build for dust resistance and both IPX8 and IPX9 ratings for water resistance.
