On Wednesday, Samsung unveiled its latest Smart Monitor, the M9, which features the company’s advanced QD-LED technology alongside a 165Hz refresh rate and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility. This new model is designed to integrate AI-driven functionalities and is anticipated to receive operating system updates for up to seven years. Additionally, Samsung updated its Smart Monitor M8 and Smart Monitor M7, both of which also come with 32-inch 4K Ultra HD displays and AI feature support.
The pricing information for the Samsung Smart Monitor M9, M8, and M7 has not yet been disclosed. However, the company has announced that these models will be available in global markets starting June, though details regarding their introduction in India remain uncertain.
Features of the Samsung Smart Monitor M9, M8, and M7
All three monitors in Samsung’s new lineup come with 32-inch 4K displays. The Smart Monitor M9 stands out with its QD-LED panel, offering a refresh rate of 165Hz and a response time of just 0.03ms. Samsung notes that this monitor carries a Pantone Validated certification and includes the company’s OLED Safeguard+ cooling system to mitigate the risk of screen burn-in.

The Smart Monitor M9 is also equipped with three AI features: 4K AI Upscaling Pro, AI Picture Optimiser, and Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) Pro. Samsung claims these capabilities can intelligently enhance audio and video quality according to the user’s environment and the content displayed on the screen.
In contrast, the Smart Monitor M8 and Smart Monitor M7 utilize vertical alignment (VA) technology for their panels. Both models feature a 32-inch 4K display and operate on Samsung’s Tizen OS.
All three monitors are set to receive seven years of One UI Tizen updates. Users will benefit from Click to Search in select regions, enabling them to access information related to the content displayed. Moreover, users can run Microsoft 365 applications directly on these monitors without the need for a computer and can utilize Multi Control features for Multi View when paired with other Samsung devices.
