A recent teaser from Nothing specifically alludes to the phone’s rear camera capabilities, suggesting a triple-camera configuration.
New Camera Features for Nothing Phone 3
In a post on X, Nothing disclosed that the Phone 3 will be equipped with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The accompanying image showcased the new telephoto sensor and provided a glimpse of the rear camera design, complete with visible screws and angular lines.
This advanced sensor is expected to deliver 3x optical zoom. Earlier reports indicated that the Phone 3 will feature a triple-camera setup, which will also likely include a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. This marks a significant improvement over the dual-camera arrangement found in the Phone 2. The anticipated camera configuration resembles that of the Nothing Phone 3a Pro, which includes a 50-megapixel main sensor along with periscope technology and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
Reports also stated that the Nothing Phone 3 will include a 50-megapixel front-facing camera. The device is expected to sport a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, backed by a 5,150mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging. There are also indications that it may offer wireless and reverse wireless charging capabilities.
Furthermore, Nothing has confirmed that the Phone 3 will run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, ensuring optimal performance. The company has committed to providing five years of Android OS updates along with seven years of security patches for the device. The launch event is set to coincide with the debut of the Nothing Headphone 1 on July 1.
