Microsoft has announced that several of its first-party games, including Pentiment, Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, and Sea of Thieves, will soon be available on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation platforms. On Wednesday, the company confirmed that players will be able to enjoy these exclusive titles on their Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 consoles. This initiative aligns with a broader trend in the gaming industry, promoting increased accessibility and cross-platform compatibility, which aims to draw in a more diverse gaming audience.

According to an Xbox Wire announcement, Obsidian Entertainment’s game Pentiment will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on February 22. Another title from the same studio, Grounded, is set for release on these platforms starting April 16.

Hi-Fi Rush, an action-adventure game developed by Tango Gameworks, has not been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch yet, nor has Sea of Thieves by Rare. However, both titles will be featured on PlayStation systems. Pre-purchases for Hi-Fi Rush will open on the PlayStation 5 digital storefronts on February 22, with the game officially arriving on March 19, and Sea of Thieves making its debut on April 30.

Additionally, Grounded and Sea of Thieves will support cross-play functionality across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms. The company further disclosed that upcoming titles, including Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Avowed, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, will be released later this year on Xbox Series X and S, PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Xbox Game Pass.

Recently, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer highlighted that four Xbox exclusive titles will be launched on both PS5 and Nintendo Switch. The company also revealed plans for Activision-Blizzard games to become accessible on Xbox Game Pass, with Diablo IV set to be available starting March 28.
