Additionally, Honor has provided specific details regarding the RAM and storage capacities for the forthcoming smartphone. The Honor Magic V5 is poised to present a slim profile and will be available in four distinct colour choices, along with configurations offering up to 16GB of RAM and a storage capacity reaching 1TB.

Honor has been sharing glimpses of the Honor Magic V5 design through its Weibo account as well as its official website. The device will be offered in four color options: Dawn Gold, Silk Road Dunhuang, Velvet Black, and Warm White (translated from Chinese). It will feature configurations with 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB RAM and storage.
The Honor Magic V5 is confirmed to possess a thickness of 8.8mm when folded, making it claim the title of the world’s thinnest and lightest foldable smartphone. However, specifics regarding its weight have not yet been disclosed. This latest model is anticipated to be slimmer than the forthcoming Vivo X Fold 5, which measures 9.2mm in its folded state.
For context, last year’s Magic V3 had a folded thickness of 9.3mm. Meanwhile, the rumored specifications for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 suggest a thickness of 3.9mm when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded. The Oppo Find N5, celebrated as the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone, has a folded thickness of 8.93mm and expands to 4.21mm when opened.

Scheduled to launch on July 2 in China, the Honor Magic V5 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset coupled with 16GB of RAM. The device is likely to achieve an IPX8 rating for water resistance and will be equipped with a 6,100mAh battery that supports 66W wired fast charging. Additionally, the smartphone may feature a 6.45-inch LTPO OLED cover display and a larger 8-inch 2K inner display.
