On Monday, Elon Musk revealed plans for new features set to launch on Twitter within the coming week. Users can anticipate the introduction of a picture-in-picture (PiP) mode for videos, enabling them to scroll through their timelines while content continues to play in a minimized window.
Musk, who recently transitioned from the role of CEO to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Twitter, also announced a video functionality that will allow users to rewind or fast-forward clips by 15 seconds.
The multi-billionaire shared details of these enhancements in a response to Jesse Daugherty, a programmer known on Twitter as @jtdaugh.

This announcement follows Musk’s recent expansion of the character limit for tweets from Twitter Blue users, in a string of updates that have transformed the micro-blogging platform.
Twitter Blue, available through a subscription fee of $8 (approximately ₹662), provides subscribers with perks such as a verification badge, editing options for tweets, and longer post capabilities.
It is unclear at this time whether these new features will be accessible to all users or restricted solely to Twitter Blue subscribers.
Earlier in the month, Twitter also launched an encrypted direct messages feature aimed at enhancing the security of private conversations on the platform.
In addition, Twitter is reportedly working on adding voice and video chat functionality in the near future.
Following Musk’s departure as CEO, Linda Yaccarino was appointed as the new CEO of Twitter. Yaccarino, who previously led the advertising division at Comcast Corp’s NBCUniversal, has expressed her commitment to advancing Twitter’s future.
