The Vivo X Fold 5 is set to be officially unveiled in China on June 25, with the tech company actively promoting various features of the foldable smartphone online. Although there has been no formal announcement regarding its launch in India, reports suggest the release may occur in the second week of July.
The upcoming device will come equipped with a robust 6,000mAh battery that supports both wired and wireless charging. Additionally, it will showcase 8T LTPO displays and a Zeiss-branded triple rear camera configuration.
According to a report by 91Mobiles, which cites sources familiar with the matter, the Vivo X Fold 5 is expected to make its debut in India between July 10 and July 15. The official launch event in China is scheduled for June 25 at 7 PM local time (4:30 PM IST).
The Vivo X Fold 5 is anticipated to rival the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is projected for a July 9 launch. In addition, Honor plans to release its Magic V5 foldable device in China on July 2. It’s worth mentioning that the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro was unveiled in June of the previous year, marking Vivo’s entry into the Indian foldable smartphone market.

Vivo has provided a series of teasers that shed light on what the Vivo X Fold 5 will offer. It will feature a 6,000mAh battery capable of 80W wired and 40W wireless fast charging, alongside reverse charging capabilities. The device will also include a Zeiss-tuned triple rear camera system, featuring a periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Furthermore, both the internal and external displays will use 8T LTPO panel technology.
Images of the foldable phone have surfaced online, revealing a sleek design complemented by a prominent circular camera cutout. The Vivo X Fold 5 will be offered in three color variants: Baibai (green), Quingsong (white), and Titanium (black).
This foldable smartphone boasts an IPX8 + IPX9 + IPX9+ rating for water resistance, along with an IP5X dustproof certification. The device is expected to weigh approximately 216g and may measure about 9.2mm in thickness when folded.
