Samsung Unveils Home AI Roadmap
In a recent newsroom post, Samsung elaborated on its Home AI concept, detailing the platforms and products that will enhance user interactions. Jong-Hee (JH) Han, Vice Chairman, CEO, and Head of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division, introduced the new offering, emphasizing that Home AI aims to deliver “truly personalised” services across all connected devices.
Essentially, Home AI acts as a personalization tool powered by AI, tailored to accommodate the varied lifestyles of those living in the same household. According to Samsung, Home AI will learn from users’ habits and adjust to their individual routines over time.
To enhance the personalization process, Samsung is integrating multiple in-house products, ensuring a secure environment for users. The company is deploying the Samsung Knox Matrix, which now extends its security features to home appliances. By leveraging blockchain technology, these connected devices will enhance home security and safeguard user data against digital threats.
Additionally, One UI, Samsung’s operating system for a variety of devices, will be incorporated into all connected Samsung products to promote interoperability and facilitate easier device management. The SmartThings platform, aimed at smart home automation, will work alongside Home AI, while AI-driven Bixby Voice will enhance the functionality of all smart home devices.
However, Samsung has not yet provided a timeline for when consumers can expect the rollout of Home AI, nor has it disclosed the specific devices that will be compatible with the new features.
