Blumhouse’s upcoming sequel, M3gan 2.0, is poised to surpass its predecessor, which masterfully merged elements of techno-horror and dark comedy.
Taking place a few years after the original, M3gan 2.0 continues the story of roboticist Gemma, played by Allison Williams, and her niece Cady, portrayed by Violet McGraw. Together, they are among the survivors of M3gan’s initial murderous rampage.
Gemma, who is now advocating for stricter regulations on the artificial intelligence technology she once helped develop, is aware of the inherent dangers in resurrecting M3gan. However, when a defense contractor repurposes her code to create a more lethal robot named Amelia, played by Ivanna Sakhno, she must reluctantly give M3gan another opportunity to prove herself.
