Beginning in 2026, electric vehicle owners will have the opportunity to recharge their vehicles at Waffle House locations, all while interacting with truck drivers and avoiding the notorious flying chairs. BP Pulse announced plans to outfit the popular diner chain with 400kW DC fast chargers, which will include a combination of CCS and NACS connectors.
Participating Waffle House locations, particularly in states such as Texas, Georgia, and Florida, along with other spots in the South and Southeast, will each feature six BP Pulse charging stations. With over 2,000 Waffle House diners situated in 25 states, many of these restaurants are conveniently positioned near major highway exits. Currently, BP Pulse operates chargers at more than 8,000 retail locations across 46 states.
BP Pulse CEO Sujay Sharma expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating in a press release, “Partnering with an iconic establishment like Waffle House to enhance our expanding network of EV charging stations presents an exciting opportunity. We are committed to developing a comprehensive network of ultrafast chargers nationwide, and this partnership highlights how collaborations with third parties can provide EV drivers with convenient charging options alongside essential amenities.”
