The OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition and Ace 5 Ultra smartphones are set to launch in China later this month. Both devices will feature Android 15-based ColorOS 15 and will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 series chipsets. Recently, specifications regarding the design, color options, and memory configurations for these models have been unveiled. They will join the existing OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, which were released in December 2024.
Launch Details for OnePlus Ace 5 Models
According to a post on Weibo, the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition and the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra will launch in China on May 27 at 2:30 PM local time (12 PM IST). The devices will utilize MediaTek Dimensity chipsets; specifically, the Ace 5 Racing Edition will include a Dimensity 9400e chipset, whereas the Ace 5 Ultra will be equipped with the Dimensity 9400+ SoC.
In addition to the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 series chipsets, the forthcoming OnePlus Ace 5 series will also feature specialized gaming chips like the “Fengchi” gaming chip, “Lingxi” touch chip, and G1 gaming Wi-Fi chip. These enhancements are designed to minimize frame drops and ensure stable connections for an improved gaming experience.
The official product listing for the OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition indicates that it will offer multiple configurations, including 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 512GB RAM and storage options. Meanwhile, the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra will be available in similar configurations, with the added option of 16GB + 1TB. Both handsets will feature Android 15-based ColorOS 15, mirroring the specifications of the current OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro variants.
