Honor has officially announced the launch dates for the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro in China. The company has revealed new promotional materials online that highlight the enhanced battery and chipset capabilities of the upcoming devices. Both smartphones are set to feature significantly improved battery capacities compared to their earlier models and will be powered by Snapdragon chipsets. The global launch of the Honor 400 series is scheduled for May 22, with a Chinese launch event planned for May 28.
According to Honor’s recent posts on Weibo, the unveiling of the Honor 400 series in China will take place at 7:30 PM local time (5:00 PM IST). This new lineup is confirmed to feature a robust metal middle frame and will utilize Snapdragon chipsets. The standard model, the Honor 400, is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the Pro variant is rumored to employ the “new generation of Snapdragon flagship chip,” which may refer to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC.
Both the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro will be equipped with a high-capacity 7,200mAh battery, marking a significant upgrade from the 5,300mAh battery found in last year’s Honor 300 series.
Honor 400 Series Specifications (Global Variants)
The global versions of the Honor 400 series will feature varying battery capacities. According to the Honor UK’s website, both models will come with 6,000mAh batteries. The Pro model supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, while the standard model offers 80W wired charging capabilities.
The Honor 400 Pro will be available in Lunar Grey, Midnight Black, and Tidal Blue. It features a triple rear camera setup, including a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, complemented by a 50-megapixel front-facing camera. Furthermore, it holds an IP68 + IP69 certification for dust and water resistance and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
The Honor 400 will be released in Desert Gold, Midnight Black, and Meteor Silver. Its dual rear camera configuration includes a 200-megapixel main sensor alongside a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and it features a 50-megapixel selfie camera while operating with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. This model is also designed with an IP66-certified build.
Both devices are reported to have displays boasting a peak brightness of 5,000 nits, a resolution of 1,280×2,800 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a pixel density of 460ppi.
Consumers can expect the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro to be officially launched in European markets on May 22.
