The lineup of PlayStation Plus Game Catalog titles for July has been announced, following leaks that surfaced earlier this week. Leading the selection is Remnant II, a Soulslike third-person shooter. The collection also features action-RPG Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – Reunion, the medieval strategy game Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, the party games compilation The Jackbox Party Pack 9, the isometric RPG Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, among others. All titles will be accessible to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium tier members beginning July 16.

Details were shared on the PlayStation Blog, with these additions coming shortly after the announcement of the monthly free PS Plus games. This month’s free titles include Borderlands 3, NHL 24, and Among Us, all currently available to subscribers at all tiers.

Remnant 2 expands on the Soulslike genre from a third-person shooter angle. Serving as the sequel to 2019’s Remnant: From the Ashes, the game allows players to choose from various character classes, each with unique skills. Players will fight against “The Root,” a dangerous, world-threatening plant species. The game supports solo play or cooperative gameplay with up to two additional friends and will be available on PS5.

Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – Reunion is the high-definition remaster of the prequel to the iconic Final Fantasy VII. Released in 2022 in honor of the 25th anniversary of the classic game, this remaster boasts enhanced graphics, updated 3D models, and fully voiced characters. The story centers around Zack Fair, who is affiliated with the same paramilitary organization as Sephiroth, weaving deeper connections to Cloud and Sephiroth through Zack’s narrative. This title will be accessible on both PS4 and PS5.

Also making its way to the PS Plus Game Catalog is Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. This medieval action-RPG allows players to build their own factions and engage in extensive campaigns filled with strategic battles and sieges. Set in the fictional land of Calradia, inspired by the Migration Period, the game features eight major factions and will be available on both PS4 and PS5.
