2K has officially unveiled NBA 2K25, providing details on the release date, cover athletes, available editions, and pre-order information for the upcoming installment in its beloved basketball simulation series. The game is set to be released on September 6 across various platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders are currently available on all platforms.
Cover Athletes for NBA 2K25 Revealed
In a recent announcement from 2K’s newsroom, it was revealed that Boston Celtics star and recently crowned NBA champion Jayson Tatum will grace the cover of the NBA 2K25 Standard Edition. He will be joined by WNBA champion A’ja Wilson from the Las Vegas Aces. Additionally, NBA legend and newly honored Hall of Famer Vince Carter will appear on the Hall of Fame Edition cover.
This upcoming title will feature significant updates to its MyCareer and MyTeam modes. Players utilizing new-generation consoles and PC will also benefit from the introduction of an additional sixth era in MyNBA, along with a revamped, more interactive City, as indicated by 2K.
For the first time, the new-gen version of the game will be available on PC alongside the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. This version aims to deliver a more immersive gaming experience, powered by “ProPLAYTM technology.” PC players who meet the necessary specifications will enjoy enhanced gameplay features in this upgraded version.

NBA 2K25 will be released in four distinct editions—Standard Edition, a WNBA Edition available exclusively in physical format at GameStop in the US and Canada, an All-Star Edition, and a Hall of Fame Edition set to launch on September 8. With a release date of September 6, the game will be accessible on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders can be made at all major storefronts, with prices set at Rs. 3,999 for the Standard Edition, Rs. 5,699 for the All-Star Edition, and Rs. 8,500 for the Hall of Fame Edition on Steam.
