Huawei has revealed the launch date for its upcoming Nova 14 series in China, which is set to succeed the previous Nova 13 and Nova 13 Pro models. These new smartphones will operate on the latest HarmonyOS, and the company has begun to tease the design of this new lineup through various online platforms. Notably, the teasers indicate the introduction of a Nova 14 Ultra model alongside the standard Nova 14 and Nova 14 Pro, both of which are rumored to come equipped with Kirin 9-series chipsets and a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor.
The official unveiling of the Huawei Nova 14 series is scheduled for May 19 at 2:30 PM China time (4:30 PM IST). While the focus has primarily been on the Nova 14 series, promotional materials on Huawei’s China portal and Vmall hint at the debut of a new “Ultra” variant, likely to be named the Nova 14 Ultra, in conjunction with the standard Nova 14 and Nova 14 Pro models.
Huawei’s announcements on Weibo have confirmed that the Nova 14 series will run on HarmonyOS 5. The promotional materials showcase the Nova 14 Ultra in an eye-catching gold finish with a textured rear panel. The device features a pill-shaped camera island that houses several camera sensors along with an LED flash.
