Meizu Unveils Note 16 Series with Stellar Specs!

Meizu has officially unveiled the Meizu Note 16 Pro and Meizu Note 16 in China. Both smartphones operate on Flyme AIOS 2, which is based on Android 15, and feature expansive 6.78-inch displays. The Meizu Note 16 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, while the standard Meizu Note 16 utilizes the Unisoc T8200 processor. In terms of battery capacity, the Pro variant is equipped with a 6,200mAh battery supporting 80W wired charging, whereas the Meizu Note 16 boasts a larger 6,600mAh battery with 40W charging capabilities.

Pricing and Availability of Meizu Note 16 Pro and Meizu Note 16

The pricing for the Meizu Note 16 Pro starts at CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs. 17,000) for the 8GB + 256GB model. The device is also available with other configurations: 12GB + 256GB at CNY 1,699 (around Rs. 20,000); 12GB + 512GB for CNY 1,899 (about Rs. 22,000); and the top-tier 16GB + 512GB option priced at CNY 2,099 (roughly Rs. 24,000). Buyers can choose from three color options: Cloud White, Light Boat Blue, and Star Chaser Gray (translated from Chinese).

In contrast, the Meizu Note 16 is available at a starting price of CNY 799 (around Rs. 8,000) for the base 8GB + 128GB variant. The 8GB + 256GB model is priced at CNY 999 (approximately Rs. 11,000), while the 12GB + 256GB version retails for CNY 1,199 (around Rs. 14,000). This model is offered in Child Red, Rock Black, and Snow White (translated) shades.

Both smartphones are presently available for pre-order in China via the official Meizu website and are slated to go on sale starting May 16.

Specifications and Features of Meizu Note 16 Pro

The Meizu Note 16 Pro operates on Android 15 with Flyme AIOS 2 and offers a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K, supporting HDR10+ and a 144Hz variable refresh rate. The screen claims an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The device is driven by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 accompanied by an Adreno 720 GPU, with configurations offering up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

For photography, the Meizu Note 16 Pro features a dual camera arrangement consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, alongside an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.

Connectivity options are robust and include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and A-GPS capabilities. The device is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor for secure authentication.

Powering the Meizu Note 16 Pro is a substantial 6,200mAh battery with 80W wired charging support. The device also features a dust and water-resistant design with IP66+ and IP68 ratings.

It is powered by a Unisoc T8200 processor, with configurations offering up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

On the back, the Meizu Note 16 also includes a dual camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, in addition to the 8-megapixel front-facing camera, identical to that of the Pro model.

Noteworthy features of the Meizu Note 16 include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication and an IP65-rated design. It houses a 6,600mAh battery, which supports 40W wired charging.
